Please touch! Hands-on activities ahead.Dress up as Voyageur, lumberjack, or wildland firefighter, build your own continental divide, jump as a far as frog, or become a wildlife detective. Be prepared to get a little dirty, and maybe a little wet.
The Gunflint Trail Explorers activity bins are all about hands-on exploration. Each bin presents activities around a specific Northwoods topic: frogs and toads, maps and orienteering, plants and wildflowers, lumberjacks and trees, water, wildfire, wildlife, and the Voyageurs.
Visit the Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center where activity bins have all the materials you need for an hour or two of active outdoor play. You can also do the activities at home; the activity guides below provide you with instructions and a list of all the supplies you need.
