Be Our Guest to the first ever Chik-Wauk Shrimp Boil
Please join us Sunday, June 29 for an open house and shrimp boil at the Seagull Lake Community Center.
Never been to a shrimp boil? You’ll experience a very unique cooking style and presentation, and all funds raised support ongoing operations of the Gunflint Trail Historical Society and Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center. Meal will be served from noon – 2 p.m., rain or shine, $10 suggested donation for meal. No need for reservations; all welcome. Bring your family!
In addition to a great meal, don’t miss this chance to head up to Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center to view this season’s exhibit on “Butterflies, Skippers and Moths of the Gunflint Trail.” This is also an excellent opportunity to renew your GTHS membership.
Directions: To reach Seagull Lake Community Center from Grand Marais, travel approximately 53 miles up the Gunflint Trail, then turn left on Seagull Lake Access Road, which is directly across from Seagull Creek Fishing Camp. On the Seagull Lake Access Road, turn right at the first driveway. Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center is located approximately 1.5 miles north of Seagull Lake Community Center, at 28 Moose Pond Drive.
